Kindergarten 2

Introucation

Kindergarten is a pre-school educational program for young children between the ages of 4 to 6. Children undergo rapid physical growth and intense brain development at this age, making it all the more important to channel their varied energies productively. Young children are naturally curious and want to learn more about their environment by observing and exploring. A good kindergarten program taps into their innate curiosity and introduces them to formal education effectively while also boosting their creative and artistic sides.

At Montana International Preschool, we understand that children in different age groups have their own unique needs. We have two programs based on the age group of the children: Kindergarten 1 (K1) and Kindergarten 2 (K2).

Kindergarten 2's Approach

Children’s brains and bodies undergo tremendous changes when they are 4-6 years old, and the intellectual, creative, and social needs of a four-year-old are different from those of a five-year-old. Our K2 program is specifically tailored to support the physical and cognitive development of five-year-old children.

As their vocabulary expands, students are introduced to new words through fun games and interactive sessions. Children are encouraged to practice their reading and writing skills in both English and Hindi. They also build their ability to communicate effectively using simple sentences to express themselves. They practice poetry recitation and short story narration as well.

Our maths curriculum for K2 is designed to introduce the students to basic maths operations using colorful models and figures. Besides rote counting up to 150, they are introduced to skip counting, number comparison, and number value association. They also learn how to solve easy word problems in a fun and interactive way.

Our experienced teachers kindle your child’s innate curiosity to know more about their surroundings, different types of animals and birds, the solar system, and interesting facts about our country. We also celebrate various festivals and special days to familiarize the students with our rich cultural heritage.

These early classroom activities help forge a love for literature, maths, and science in young minds. For growing children, physical activity is as significant as mental stimulation. Our students are encouraged to take part in different games under the supervision of an expert teacher so that they learn the significance of the physical activity. Children also learn team spirit and collaborative skills in their PE class.

Cultivating creativity is another of our focus areas. We have numerous song and dance programs and drawing and painting classes to nurture the artist in your child.
